Dr Hyatt completed his Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Western Australia. Throughout this training, he gained extensive clinical experience assessing a range of conditions including neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD and specific learning disorders), and older adult cognitive disorders such as dementia. He has worked extensively with people diagnosed with mental illnesses since 2006 and completed a PhD in 2015 at the University of New South Wales, which investigated cognitive and neurobiological aspects of depressive disorders.
Dr Hyatt has experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and is LGBTQIA+ affirmative. He has a warm and empathic approach and strives to provide evidence-based and holistic neuropsychological assessments to his patients.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys spending time with family, finding good coffee, reading, and bushwalking.
