I have worked with many kinds of people in many kinds of therapeutic settings, though tend to work best with young adults (~age 18-35). My goal in therapy is to understand how your brain adapted to survive in your unique environment and circumstances growing up, and to help you cultivate your own innate wisdom about what is actually right for you instead of what people say it should be. I work often with adult ADHD and I’m not afraid of trauma, though I am of giant fish with human-looking teeth.

My practice is informed mainly from the frameworks of Schema Therapy, EMDR, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and an understanding of neurobiology. Humour is important in my therapeutic style and I will indulge in your tendency to laugh so you don’t cry until you feel safe enough with me to actually cry.

In addition to my role at Anima, I work in the university sector providing individual/group therapy to students and training/consultation to staff. I am a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor for clinical psychology registrars, and enjoy providing mental health training for other professionals in health, allied health, and education.

Outside of work, I can usually be found at karate training, hunched over a jigsaw puzzle, or trying to find space for yet another indoor plant.
